As part of Leadership Initiatives' International Internship Program, Team 25451 is working with communities in Bauchi, Nigeria, to advocate for access to education, child protection, and gender equality. By gathering stories, conducting research, and developing outreach campaigns, interns are helping raise awareness, protect vulnerable populations, and promote lasting community change.
In Northern Nigeria, many face injustice in daily life. Barriers to education, early marriage, child labor, and gender-based violence prevent youth from reaching their potential. Families often lack access to legal support or awareness of their rights. These challenges leave vulnerable populations exposed to harm and limit their future opportunities.
Team 25451 is partnering with educators, advocates, and community leaders to develop campaigns focused on education, protection, and legal awareness. Interns help create outreach materials, support school-based and public workshops, and elevate community voices. Their work empowers people with knowledge and tools to seek justice and opportunity.
Through education-focused advocacy and broader community engagement, interns are helping build safer, more informed, and more inclusive communities. Their work supports long-term change by promoting human rights, improving access to education, and empowering youth and families to speak up and take part in shaping a better future.
