International Advocacy Team 23323 Final Update

By Marshall Bailly | Executive Director

Dear Leadership Initiatives Donor,

Kobina, Saathvik, Alexander, Arnav, and Hari in the International Advocacy Internship Program have dedicated themselves to extensive cultural immersion, forging invaluable connections with our esteemed partners in Nigeria to accomplish the goal of fixing imperative issues that the community is facing.

Kobina, Saathvik, Alexander, Arnav, and Hari have been working with Auwal, a project coordinator in the field in the Kandahar Community community. Through Skype calls, the team has learned about the obstacles facing individuals who are dealing with Early school dropout. Throughout this year, Team 23323 has demonstrated unwavering commitment and ingenuity in crafting a comprehensive advocacy proposal tailored to address the specific needs of the Kandahar Community community. Their collective efforts extend beyond mere proposal development; they are actively engaged in initiatives aimed at enhancing access to vital social justice and advocacy services throughout the community.

As Team 23323 approaches the culmination of their intervention efforts, they are preparing a community workshop aimed at empowering individuals and fostering collective resilience in addressing the pressing issue of Early school dropout. Through a multifaceted approach including outreach, community education, counseling, social support, and advocacy, Kobina, Saathvik, Alexander, Arnav, and Hari drive to strengthen health knowledge and self-sufficiency within the Kandahar Community community.

By equipping community members with the tools and resources, they need to navigate the challenges posed by Early school dropout, Kobina, Saathvik, Alexander, Arnav, and Hari aspire to not only prevent its occurrence but also to significantly reduce its prevalence. This proactive initiative underscores their unwavering commitment to effecting positive change and fostering sustainable social justice outcomes in partnership with the resilient communities they serve.

Additionally, Leadership Initiatives is beginning work on multiple community development projects in rural areas of Bauchi, Nigeria. To highlight a few, in the Inkil, Gwallagan Mayaka, and Kandahar communities, we have broken grounds for building new schools that will allow educational opportunities for local children and foster a brighter future. These projects, which our interns have worked on, will open up avenues for future success for the students of these communities. These projects underscore Leadership Initiatives' commitment to empowering communities, driving sustainable development, and creating lasting positive change.

On behalf of everyone at Leadership Initiatives, thank you for everything that you have done. We all truly appreciate your donation and support for our organization. Everyone at Leadership Initiatives would love to have you more involved in our organization if you would ever want to help us grow our programs or learn more about ways that you can assist. Please contact Executive Director Marshall Bailly at mbailly@lichange.org if you have any suggestions, questions, or comments!

Sincerely,

The Leadership Initiatives Team
