By Marshall Bailly & Georgetown Visitation Students | Executive Director
Dear Esteemed Leadership Initiative Donors,
Your donations will empower individuals and communities across Bauchi State, Nigeria, giving them the opportunity to form business connections and address local issues using community resources. This will create a generation of leaders given the platform within their community to encourage local progress, which in turn affects many outside the community. Contributions from donors allow these leaders entrepreneurial and project management training. In turn, they create sustainable business models that are able to overcome the obstacles identified in their community.
Students in this program create innovative solutions, firmly grounded in the principles of social entrepreneurship. Businesses that we have created in Bauchi State, Nigeria, include welding, tailoring, carpentry, computer education, and fish farming. Leadership Initiatives assists local business owners as they strive to maximize the profit and impact of their business.
Team 1124, from Georgetown Visitation, interns have partnered with Yusuf, the owner of a tailoring business. Currently, Team 1124 is working hard to help Yusuf find a good advertising strategy and eventually upgrade his workplace. Your support and encouragement of the Team 1124’s interns and their project will truly help change lives across the globe. It not only provides crucial resources for the community but also creates job opportunities for the community.
As a supporter of this project, Leadership Initiatives would love to have you involved if you ever want to help grow our programs, learn of ways you can participate, or have new ideas on how this team could best help their business partner. Please contact Executive Director Marshall Bailly at mbailly@lichange.org if you have any suggestions, questions, or comments! Your hard work and support is the greatest gift we could receive as we attempt to create a better world.
Thank you once again from the bottom of everyone's heart here at Leadership Initiatives. If you would ever like to speak to our staff in Nigeria or this specific project leader, we would love to communicate with you so you can personally see the change you are creating.
Wishing you, your family, and your friends the absolute best!
Sincerely,
Leadership Initiatives
