Dear Generous Leadership Initiatives Donor,
Thank you for supporting the empowerment of individuals, businesses, and communities in Bauchi State, Nigeria, through your donations. With your donations, Leadership Initiatives and their students have been able to continue to carry out their mission of supporting small businesses in Bauchi. Students have been working with their business partners to develop connections and to develop and implement innovative solutions. The students in the program have also been able to have months of cultural immersion to ensure that their solutions are able to best address the needs of the business.
In the fall semester of the program, Leadership Initiatives students start working with their business partners to develop business solutions specialized for each business partner. Each team has developed detailed solution proposals for financial tracking systems. The teams are partnering with a variety of businesses including fish farming, tailoring, electronics, and auto-repair. Through the solution proposals, the students have been able to outline the work they have done over the past few months. The solutions are starting to be developed and are helping business partners to gain control over their financials and get on the path to increasing profits to benefit their families and community.
Team 1033 interns have been working with Mr. Mohammad, the owner of Muhmmadu Relay Auto Electrical. The interns have had multiple skype calls with their business partner learning more about the business and developing their relationship. This semester, Team 1033 developed a financial tracking system and receipts for the business which are already being put into effect. Currently, the team is working on developing marketing materials to increase the business’ customer base and to retain current customers.Your support of Team 1033 interns and their hard work is crucial to the success of each team and solution.
