Dear Amazing Leadership Initiatives Donors,
Your donations will empower individuals and communities across Bauchi State, Nigeria, giving them the opportunity to form connections and address local issues using community resources. This will create a generation of leaders given the platform to encourage progress that starts at the local level but impacts many more. Contributions from donors give promising individuals access to entrepreneurial, leadership, and project management training. These leaders then identify developmental obstacles within their communities, design practical solutions, and create sustainable business models to overcome those obstacles.
Our students create innovative solutions firmly grounded in principles of social entrepreneurship. We have previously created businesses in Bauchi, Nigeria businesses: fish farming, welding, tailoring, motorcycle repair & computer education with job placement. Currently, this project will help Yobe State University gain access to necessary physical tools such as walkie talkies and handheld air raid sirens and training to better deal with the threat of the Boko Haram terrorist group.
Team 1015 interns have partnered with Yobe State University. Currently, Team 1015 is working hard to assist with the continued development of security solutions proposed in the Leadership Youth Initiatives National Security and Intelligence Summit. This team plans to adapt the proposed solutions based on how effective they turn out to be when actually put in place. Contact with the school is a large part of our work, and we enjoy getting to make connections with people from around the world. Team 1015 hopes to assist Yobe State University by fundraising and speaking with representatives from the school to follow up on the proposed solutions' progress. All funds raised will go towards purchasing equipment such as walkie talkies(to improve communication and to assist with surveillance), air raid sirens (to alert students and staff when an attack is imminent), and a mesh security cabinet(purchased to make sure the other materials aren’t stolen and don’t break). Your encouragement of Team 1015 interns and their project will truly help change lives across the globe, as these solutions provide increased safety for the staff and students in the community.
