Dear Donors,
The building project commenced on the 18th of October, 2021. We currently have 20 construction professionals working on the building site. The main focus of this week's construction plan was to complete the foundation, layout the building blueprint in bricks, and start the construction of the walls. The first part of construction to take place was the guard’s quarters. These will help ensure that we have a guard on staff to keep the building safe. The second part of the construction was the exterior walls for the fence. This will help protect the building as we continue the project. We then moved to lay the foundation and bricks for the classroom.
The building is taking shape quickly due to the number of construction professionals we have on staff. They have committed to working 10 hour days to strive and complete the project ahead of schedule. Work starts every morning by 8:00 AM and finishes around 5:00 PM.
The construction team has already used 5250 cement bricks to create the blueprint of the building plan. These bricks are the strongest ones available in the community.
You can view pictures below of the progress that has been made in the last five days.
Next week the construction team is going to continue on the walls of the building until they have been completed. It is our goal by October 30th that the walls for the entire building will be up and construction of the roof will begin once the walls have been completed.
I have also attached a few photos below that best represent the progress made.
