“I became a witness to all the testimonials that guests came to share. But I have been opening my mind and eyes.” - Hélder

These past few months, we’ve been celebrating how “Love, Not Loss” creates sustainable change. PCI Media’s Ouro Negro (Black Gold) radio program has reached over 4 million listeners in Mozambique, but some of the most impacted people are the show producers themselves!

Meet Hélder. He’s a father and a radio producer of Ouro Negro, a program in Mozambique, which is facing exceptionally urgent health threats due to climate change, conflict, food insecurity, and COVID-19.

In the video below, Hélder shares how in producing the radio show, he internalized the stories that made him a better father to his children, and how the show provided access to basic health information that saved a listener’s life and the lives of those around her.
