It is with regret that WPJI has to terminate its partnership with GlobalGiving for its fundraising campaigns. This maybe an unusual decision considering how difficult it was to qualify to this prestigious (well sought-after) crowdfunding internet platform. But it has to be done.
For a small non-governmental organization, the participation to various fund raising campaigns of GlobalGiving add pressures to an organization with little man-power resources. We do not regret joining because GG has provided several trainings to its members and partners which we can use in future fundraising campaigns.
We have now embarked on a more rigorous undertaking to teach jury system to Filipinos and gather petition signatures in universities throughout the 234 Congressional Districts of the country. The most recent was a symposium help at Philippine Normal University in Manila. It is a prestigious educational institution for those who want to teach the youth of the land.
WPJI has several symposia or forums organized for various public and private associations in the coming weeks and months to coincide with the national election in May 2016.
We hope and pray that in the next election in 2019, the people will have been empowered not just to vote for their leaders but also to dismiss, through Grand and Trial Jury, the leaders who have committed serious crimes like plunder against their people. The Filipinos deserve a better, righteous and just Philippines.
