Family Wellbeing Centre was identified two villages such as Kaduruwala - Muslim Colony Kaduruwala and Mihinthale School to implement our project activities by smart Clubs from January in North Central Province of Sri Lanka. Initially, Our Project team was taken number of discussions for receiving permissions from related stakeholders such as school staffs and community leader to implement this project by fundraising - GlobalGiving foundation at selected two locations.
Through this project, staffs was prepared information materials such as leaflets, posters and stickers to educate among children, youth, parents, teachers and government staffs about reducing attractiveness image of alcohol and tobacco and other drug use among young children. Firstly, FWC team was taken two small meetings (20 boys and 23 girls - Kaduruwala village) and (15 boys and 10 girls Mihinthale-school) with children to analysis their opinions and observation about Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drug use. Our facilitator was identified and collected from participants "Social media and films which influenced misbehaviours by popular actors, promote consumption of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in early stage". Later, FWC team was decided to spread awareness messages to prevention ATOD use in early stage through Social Media campaign as well.
