Project Report | Mar 5, 2024
Thanks for your support & a glimpse of future plans

By Tra Vu | Project Officer in Research & Communications

As the World Health Organization has declared that COVID-19 is no longer a global health emergency, it seems like the perfect time to retire this project. This will be the last report for this project and we find ourselves reflecting on the remarkable journey we embarked on together. Without your support, we couldn’t have made it this far!

Here are some highlights of our key accomplishments:

  1. 239 people with tuberculosis (TB) were counseled and enrolled in nutritional support packages.
  2. 169 people with TB received medication via home delivery during lockdown and/or self-quarantine, thanks to FIT’s engagement with local health authorities and post-service providers.
  3. Over 1,800 TB-affected individuals were provided with vitamin support, among these, 290 received additional nutritional support packages to encourage their progress towards treatment completion.
  4. 164 mental health counseling sessions and 40 quality-of-life surveys for people with drug-resistant TB were conducted in partnership with local health facilities

Our journey has not been without its challenges. The constraints imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic tested our resilience and adaptability; nevertheless, we overcame these hurdles.

We want to express our sincerest gratitude to you! Your contributions have made a lasting difference in the lives of people with TB in Vietnam.

This is not a farewell but a transition. Stay tuned, as we're gearing up to launch a new project and crowdsourcing campaign. We invite you to stay a part of our upcoming endeavors. With gratitude,
