On May 5, 2017, Georgi Titykov, Deputy Mayor of Sport, Youth Activities and Social Policy in Plovdiv Municipality, presented the first certificates for professional qualification of successfully completed women in the only kind of social enterprise in Plovdiv.
The Social Enterprise was created by the National Volunteer Alliance Foundation as part of the organization's strategy for supporting and developing social entrepreneurship in Bulgaria. The goal is for young people with low social status from vulnerable groups to get a chance to train and realize the labor market by acquiring labor-social and professional skills in tailoring.
At present, more than 10 women are trained in the enterprise, who are permanently dropped out of the labor market and for them the training is a chance and a real opportunity for professional realization.
One of the girls - Temenujka, she says - very easily learned to sew, because our teacher is very good and makes us feel relaxed. I now dream of having my own studio. Everything can happen in this world.
