Did you know stoves cause illness in Nepal!

Introduction
Our environment is in crisis, it is a problem for all of us. In Nepal every year around 8,500 women and children die from the effects of polluting cooking stoves. Getting communities off the grid will allow them to be sustainable and independent, whislt making sure it is affordable for all. We aim to improve the health of over 4,728 community members.
Report
This project equips locals with solar power and electrical equipment for lighting, fans, nebulisers and refrigeration for medicines and vaccines. It will also build the capacity of local artisans to construct and roll-out the use of improved, energy efficient cookstoves, across the communities for cleaner cookstoves and supporting those who are least able to purchase them.

Taking communities of the grid!

Introduction
Our environment is in crisis, it is a problem for all of us. In Nepal every year around 8,500 women and children die from the effects of polluting cooking stoves. We will be working with off-grid communities in Surkhet District of Nepal to improve the healthcare provided through introducing renewable energy. Getting communities off the grid will allow them to be sustainable and independent, whilst making sure it is affordable for all. We aim to improve the health of over 4,728 community members
Report
Despite the enormity of the challenges over the last year, our Team has been working tirelessly to ensure our projects and the people they serve, remain on track. This has meant that we’ve been able to continue with our plans to significantly scale-up our projects in Nepal and I’m happy to say we remain on track to achieve our organisational goal of reaching 100,000 people in remote communities with access to renewable energy by 2022.

It's not all bad news

Dear Supports, friends and family,
Since our last date COVID has just hit us and our plans were to run 6 projects across 2020 and 4 in 2021. While this was our plan COVID had delayed us and we have made progress but we have revised our strategy to push back our project to 2021 and 2022.
While this is very sad for our community we also experienced a significant decrease in donations which we are sure is also due to the global pandemic therefore it is not all bad news as we now have a couple of extra months to help us fundraise, build awareness and prepare our project a little more.
We aim to provide solar energy to 10 medical centres to allow a continued access of electricity to run vital medical equipment and alongside this run multiple engagement campaigns to engage young people and women within the community. Education and Knowledge is the key to tackling many of the global issues as inspiring peers to promote the issues is the best opportunity but they need our help with training, resources and financial support to build a sustainable strategy.
