120 computer tablets were funded by private donors in time to start the 2026 school year (January-October) at Maya Jaguar Private Technical Institute in remote western Guatemala. Tablets will faciliate online learning for 57 enrolled middle and high school students. Another 50+ Mayan-only speaking preschoolers in our bilingual early literacy programs in three villages will learn basic Spanish and numeracy. They will enter first grade next year with confidence and succeed through sixth grade and beyond. The tablets will also be used for remedial Spanish and math tutoring for primary school students in three villages to improe the high dropout rate. Our organization functions with an all-volunteer board and these programs are possible only with the continued support of our donors.
