Every night in Kansas City, 2,000 teens have no home to go to. They’re sleeping on the street ~ in their car ~ on someone’s couch ~ or in a motel. Wherever they are … it’s not home.
In November, Synergy sponsors an event called One Homeless Night that encourages teens across the city – teens who have a home – to spend one night outside.
We sponsor this event because we believe it’s important to understand the plight of a homeless teen and then to do something about it. Your gift is supporting our work with homeless teens. We have a Street Outreach Team who drives around at night looking for homeless teens, and offering them warmth, food, clothes, and someone to talk to. We have Synergy House – a dorm-like building where teens can stay for a bit to get back on their feet. We have the Youth Resiliency Center – an incredible building where teens can eat a meal, shower, wash their clothes and rest.
We wouldn’t have any of this without you. Thank you so much for your support of Synergy Services; for understanding the plight of a homeless teen; and for doing something about it.
