By Gail Samuels | Project Leader
Nomusa* is 82 years old.
She lives at Issy Geshen Lamont Home in South Africa, where she is
cared for as part of our frail care unit. Like many of our residents,
she lives with advanced frailty and requires daily support. For Nomusa, one
of the most difficult challenges has been incontinence - a deeply personal
and often distressing condition that quietly erodes dignity. Without a
consistent supply of appropriate continence care, even the simplest parts
of her day felt overwhelming.
Today, her story is different - because of you. Your support has made it
possible for Nomusa to receive the essential care she needs. With
access to adult nappies and nursing care from our caregiving team,
she is now comfortable, clean and at ease.
At Issy Geshen Lamont Home – 69 frail elders rely on daily assistance
for their most basic needs. Through your support, we have been able to
provide consistent access to incontinence care products, ensuring that
residents are cared for with dignity. Your contributions have also helped us
provide nutritious meals, supporting the health and strength of residents
who are particularly vulnerable to malnutrition.
Because of you, this care goes beyond meeting physical needs. It
restores comfort. It rebuilds confidence. It reminds each resident
that they are seen, valued and worthy of dignity.
On behalf of Nomusa and every resident at Issy Geshen Lamont
Home whose life you have touched by your generosity - thank you.
