Sustainable Building for Owerri Digital Village

Dear Friends,

Thank for your continued support and interest in our work at Youth for Technology Foundation (YTF). YTF is participating in GlobalGiving’s Global Open challenge, a fundraising opportunity for nonprofit organizations working around the world. YTF’s project, the “New Owerri Digital Village” will provide a sustainable and environmentally friendly building for use by underserved youth and their communities. Through efficiency of design, construction, maintenance, operation, reuse and recycling, this project will provide long-term economic and educational benefits for community members, many of whom are poor and under-educated youth and women. The “New Owerri Digital Village” will be the first “green” community technology and learning center in West Africa and YTF needs you to make this happen.

Now through September 18, if YTF can raise at least $4,000 from at least 50 donors, we will earn a permanent spot on www.GlobalGiving.com, the internationally recognized marketplace for philanthropy that connects individual donors to the causes they care most about.

Every donation helps, and no donation is too small. You can support YTF’s work the”New Owerri Digital Village” for as little as $10 and make an impact. In addition to helping us earn a spot on GlobalGiving, the organizations that raise the most money will earn a bonus $1,000-$3,000. The organization that recruits the most donors will earn an extra $3,000.
