Project Report: Natural Farming Training Workshop
Organization: VOICE Trust
Location: VOICE Natural Farming Model Farm, Tamil Nadu, India
Dates: July 7–9, 2026
Overview
VOICE Trust, with over 41 years of experience in environmental protection and community development, continues to promote sustainable agriculture through practical training programs. As part of this mission, a three-day Natural Farming Training Workshop was conducted for third-year agriculture students from Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Agriculture College, Samayapuram.
This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world sustainable farming practices.
A Story from the Field
On the first day of the training, many students arrived with curiosity—but also uncertainty. Most had only studied farming through textbooks.
As they stood around the demonstration area, watching the preparation of natural inputs like Amirtha Karaisal, something shifted. What once seemed theoretical became real—something they could touch, prepare, and apply.
One student quietly shared,
“We have learned about sustainable farming in books, but today is the first time I feel confident that I can actually practice it.”
By the end of the session, the same group of students who hesitated to participate were actively mixing organic inputs, asking questions, and discussing how they could introduce these methods in their own communities.
