Started by a 19 year old girl from New Jersey, our mission is to change the world by empowering Nepal's youth, and we work towards a day where every child is safe, educated and loved. The Kopila Valley Children's Home https://blinknow.org/pages/childrens-home serves around 50 children. Help power the home by helping replace the damaged battery in the hybrid solar system. Not only does the system provide children with electricity, but helps develop a sustainable environment for Nepal.
The $10,000 4.2 kilowatt battery for the solar system at Kopila Valley Children's Home is severely damaged. The system can no longer store energy in the battery, greatly reducing it's efficacy. The Children's Home provides a loving and caring home for orphaned and at-risk children in a remote part of Nepal that is plagued by frequent power losses. A fully functioning solar system would provide electricity so that our children do not have to study and carry out their daily chores in darkness.
By replacing the solar battery, the children's home power will become much more efficient, providing a better life for the many children that live there.
Nepal has struggled to move to renewable energy as wealthier countries continue to upgrade to sustainable energy sources. By replacing this children's home battery, BlinkNow will continue to increase their reliance on solar and other renewables. Help replace this battery to protect the environment all across the globe and raise the quality of life of children in Nepal.
