HERE LIVED NYC Premiere Q&A
HERE LIVED NYC Premiere Q&A

For more than 15 years, 3 Generations has been dedicated to documenting the harrowing stories of genocide survivors, preserving crucial historical evidence, and ensuring that the world never forgets these unspeakable atrocities. We are a safe harbor for survivors of atrocities to tell their stories—brutal, tragic, inspiring, uplifting—in their own words.

Our latest feature film, HERE LIVED, The Stolpersteine Story, is the powerful story of hidden children, murdered parents, generational trauma, and one artist, Gunter Demnig’s singular vision for healing. On May 5th, we were honored to host the New York premiere at the Marlene Meyerson JCC.

3G is delighted to share the generous feedback we received from audience members: “HERE LIVED is Riveting! We all have read and seen footage of the horrific stories about the Holocaust. This film provides the history of a few individuals and statistics about many who were captured. Still, it also shows you the goodness in the hearts of many who donate their time and resources to memorialize the victims of the holocaust with these beautiful stones. Without this film, I would not have known the good that came from something so bad.” Additionally, one of our generous attendees commented, “It was a poignant reflection of how such a small artistic act compounded and became a powerful tool for remembrance, learning, and a beginning towards healing generational trauma.”

After a sold-out premiere, we are offering an encore screening. Please join us on Tue, May 21st, at 7:00 PM at the Marlene Meyerson JCC. You can purchase tickets hereOur screenings are an opportunity to get to know our organization and witness the outcome of your much-appreciated support. Following the screening will be a Q&A with Producer/Director Jane Wells, Composer Brian Keane, and Stolpersteine Co-ordinator BeNeLux-countries Alexander Stukenberg.
