Warmth of Hope - Your Impact in Challenging Times

By Yanina Lomaka | Project Leader

Dear Friend,

I hope this letter finds you well. As a valued supporter of our Survival Packages for war-torn areas of Ukraine project, I want to share with you the real stories of resilience that your generosity has made possible.

In these challenging times, when donations have been scarce, your support has been a beacon of hope for those most vulnerable in Ukraine's war-torn regions.

Stories of Resilience

Svetlana's Story: Rebuilding from Nothing

Just recently, we met Svetlana on her birthday (she turned 71 years old) - a day that would typically be filled with joy but was instead mixed with struggle and some sadness. Forced to flee the danger zone with her family, she found herself starting over from scratch. She said she even had to collect used items left by other people, desperately trying to create a semblance of home in an unfamiliar place. Our Warming Basket of Care brought her not just practical items but a moment of unexpected joy and hope.

Galyna's Perspective: Finding Joy in Small Moments

Another remarkable woman from the Luhansk region shared a profound insight. Displaced by the conflict, Galyna told us how, in such difficult circumstances, one learns to find joy like a child - rejoicing in even the smallest acts of kindness. The simple items in our care package became more than just supplies - they were a lifeline of hope.

Viktory and Vitaly: A Story of Care and Survival

From the Donetsk region, 72-year-old Viktor lives with his son Vitaly, who requires constant care due to health challenges. Their daily life is a testament to love and resilience. With the limited funds we've received, we were able to provide them with essential support, easing their burden, even if just for a moment.

Our Impact This Quarter

Despite financial constraints, we managed to:

Deliver 3 Warming Baskets of Care

Support families across different conflict-affected regions

Provide essential items, including:

-          Food products

-          Warm blankets

-          Thermoses

-          Portable power banks

The Ongoing Challenge

Winter approaches, and the need remains critical. Each donation, no matter how small, creates ripples of hope in lives overwhelmed by uncertainty.

Your Continued Support

Your past support has been crucial. If you can continue to help, every contribution makes a tangible difference in these families' lives.

With deepest gratitude and hope,

Yanina Lomaka
