With your kind donation, we’ve already changed the lives of many Deaf children. Below is a story told by Juliane Pereira de Pinho, a teacher for Deaf children:
"I am a teacher for special education and I work in a municipal school called Doutor Abdon Baptista. I have a Deaf student who is 9 years old. She has not yet mastered Sign Language (Libras) and her family said that they are not able to pay for a private Sign Language teacher for their daughter. In October 2016, I encountered the Surdo para Surdo project and I was very happy because we got free classes online with a Deaf teacher in order to teach my student. Classes are held once a week through a link sent in advance, each one an hour long.
I can say that Surdo para Surdo has done a lot of good and we need to continue these lessons in 2017 to help my student and other Deaf children learn their first language, Sign Language (Libras). That way, they can be accepted into the society in the way that they truly deserve.
I am grateful for the Surdo para Surdo project, for having supported my case and benefited my student."
Sincerely,
Robson Mafra
