Every day, people's lives are destroyed by violent conflict. Many see their loved ones killed, have to flee their homes, or are forced to engage in violence themselves. But amongst devastation, local people are finding ways to resolve conflict, and stop wars. For many people around the world, their lives, homes, and livelihoods are threatened by war and violent conflict. At times, it seems like these problems are too big to solve, but in many of these places, brave people are standing up to the violence and taking action to stop it. Often, these people lack the funds, resources and experience to save as many lives as possible.
We support local organisations who are building peace where they live, by providing funding and advice on how best to sustain and grow their work. We provide support to them, and share our knowledge and experience of other local peacebuilding organisations. We promote these organisations, and their importance to achieving and maintaining peace in some of the world's deadliest war zones.
Your support will help us to find more local organisations, and help them to grow. You can help us increase the impact that our current partners are having. We can promote them to the international community, and make clear the importance of local organisations to achieving sustainable peace. With this support, we can give people throughout the world living in conflict an alternative to violence.
