In 2025, Nuestras Huellas reached 920 participants, including 460 active members across 63 community banks and 460 in additional training. A highlight of this period was the formation of the "Corazón Contento" (Happy Heart) group, established between October and December 2025. By combining credit access with participatory training, Nuestras Huellas empowers women to make informed financial decisions and serve as critical drivers of inclusive local development.

Financial Inclusion and Autonomy The program managed USD 100,000 across 650 microloans, with 80% directed toward entrepreneurship and 20% toward housing improvements. This capital, combined with USD 69,000 in collective savings, drives community-based economic autonomy.

Based on an impact survey sample representing 11% of our community, Nuestras Huellas measures women’s empowerment through a combination of economic outcomes, financial resilience, autonomy, and social capital.

Economic Empowerment

  • Business Growth:90% of participants report that their business situation is "Better" (48%) or "Much better" (42%) since joining the communal bank or solidarity group.
  • Income Increase: 52% saw income growth exceeding 30% (with 18% surpassing 50%).
  • Financial Resilience: 94% developed a savings capacity after joining, and 72% report improved debt management, prioritizing productive investment over consumption.

Autonomy and Social Capital

  • Decision-Making: 90% of participants feel greater security and autonomy when making financial decisions for their households.
  • Community Trust: The program achieved a Net Promoter Score of 9.38/10, reflecting high satisfaction.
  • Human Network: Our work is sustained by a specialized team, complemented by 35 active volunteers who participate through our Volunteer Program, adding diverse perspectives and support to our mission.
  • Women represent 97% of program participants, reinforcing the organization’s gender-focused impact.

The Essence of Our Model: To further illustrate the philosophy behind our work, the following video offers a narrative of the Nuestras Huellas mission. Through this conceptual piece, we share the values of trust, collective effort, and the path toward economic independence that define our communal work. It provides a brief but profound overview of how we bridge the gap between financial exclusion and sustainable empowerment. Watch Video of Nuestras Huellas

Agency over Dependency The experience of Nuestras Huellas proves that women excluded from traditional systems do not require dependency-based aid, but rather equal opportunities and recognition of their agency. By removing structural barriers and fostering trust-based systems, we enable women to take their rightful place as autonomous economic actors, community leaders, and protagonists of sustainable change.
