Uplift and Empower 5,000 Street Youth in Uganda

Dear Friends,

We are back with an update from our beautiful community, and we want you to know right away that our spirits are high and our smiles are as bright as ever! We have always promised to keep you close to our journey supporting street children in Uganda, and while the road has some bumps, we are facing them with energy, hope and a massive amount of determination.

We had huge dreams when we started this program, and even though we are currently facing a bit of a funding squeeze, we are absolutely not giving up yet! We are staying positive and have decided to give this project everything we have got for the rest of 2026. We are determined to find that extra bit of kick-start funding to keep this beautiful mission alive!

The need on the streets is definitely growing and just last month, we welcomed another 10 amazing young people into our program. It just shows how vital this safe space is, and it makes us want to work even harder to be here for them.

Right now, we are seeing the absolute best of humanity in action. We have 4 incredible local community members who are currently looking for work themselves, yet they are generously donating their time every single day to bring the children from the streets into our centre.

While we cannot afford to provide hot meals at the moment, our center is still bursting with life. Our volunteers are providing a safe, warm shelter for a few hours, a loving and listening ear, and lots of fun games to give these kids a chance to just be kids and take their minds off their daily struggles.

We are so proud to be a brilliant example of the magic you can do with very little! We want to say a massive, joyful thank you to every single one of the 13 wonderful people who have donated to us over the last 3 years. Together, you have raised over $1,000, which allowed us to purchase essential supplies. Every single dollar has been turned into pure hope.

Now, we are gearing up for a fantastic opportunity this July because we are joining the GlobalGiving Bonus Day! We are feeling so positive that this could be the exact boost we need to gain some momentum, stock up on supplies, and ensure we survive and thrive way past 2026.
