We are glad that we are in the final stages of negotiating a new partnership with a local agribusiness enterprise that will be beneficial to the hundreds of women and youths we work with.
Our local partner has agreed to provide training on the bee keeping value chain- from making of modern bee hives, to keeping the bees, feeding the bees and the whole production cycle, to modern harvesting and processing of the honey.
Our organization will fund initial cost of acquring the bee hives and have tri party agreements between us, the women groups we support and the local partner that will ensure all the honey harvested has guarranteed market.
This new initiative will enhance income by women and provide an opportunity for them to expand and eventually acquire skills for value addition in the agribusiness sector.
