As part of program, we work with women through community groups to set up income generating ventures from money saved from no longer needing to purchase kerosene. Before this, the women receive our Mwangabora solar lamps assembled by youths, and then undergo a comprehensive training on aspects of financial management, business modelling and development and technical aspects that relates to thei specific business venture.
Last month, our Program Director visited such income ventures to asses the needs and progress. The women we able to share their experiences and highlighted areas of success and problems. Our organization will continue to support such projects including more technical and business development training, market access support and links to more financial investments.
