Report on Supporting Girls for Menstrual Health in PakistanJoy Foundation, Pakistan
Joy Foundation organized a menstrual health support activity for adolescent girls and young women in different communities of Pakistan. The aim of this initiative was to promote menstrual health awareness, improve hygiene practices, and support girls with essential hygiene materials.
In many rural and low-income communities, girls face challenges related to menstrual health due to poverty, lack of awareness, social stigma, and limited access to hygiene products. To address these issues, Joy Foundation conducted awareness sessions and distributed menstrual hygiene kits among girls.
The hygiene kits included sanitary pads, soap, towels, underwear, and other personal care items. During the awareness sessions, female staff and volunteers educated participants about menstrual hygiene management, personal cleanliness, health protection, and the importance of breaking social taboos related to menstruation.
The girls actively participated in the sessions and shared their concerns and experiences openly. The activity helped increase confidence, awareness, and understanding about menstrual health and encouraged girls to continue their education and daily activities with dignity.
Community members, parents, and teachers appreciated the efforts of Joy Foundation in supporting girls’ health and well-being. The organization remains committed to empowering women and girls through health education, awareness, and community development programs across Pakistan.
Together, we can create a healthier, safer, and more dignified future for girls in Pakistan.
