Global Giving Report
Fall 2016
kinderhände – children’s hands
kinderhände is grateful that it was vetted and part of the global giving network. Due to technical problems the process getting online took a while and delayed our online presence. However, now everything is fixed and we are happy to write this report.
2016 is the year of celebrations, but also changes. First, kinderhände was officially founded 2006, thus this year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the association! At the same time we also had to deal with significant changes, such as finding a new home for our kinderhände center. We finally found one in the heart of Vienna (Stumpergasse 48/4, 1060 Vienna) which opened in September. The new semester in the new location just recently started with eleven courses and over 85 hearing and deaf children (and their moms and dads). Participants are coming from Vienna, lower Austria and also a deaf boy from Syria.
Upcoming kinderhände events:
November 27th: kinderhände concert with Klaus Trabitsch und Birgit Denk at the Haus der Musik (Vienna)
December 4th: kinderhände Christmas Choir at the Christmas market Schloss Schönbrunn (Vienna)
