LIBRARY, FUN & CREATIVE SESSION

The Bangladesh Youth Space remains committed to fostering a positive learning environment where children can explore, discover, and grow through reading and creative engagement. The library activity held on 26th November 2025 aimed to strengthen literacy skills while promoting confidence, creativity, and teamwork among children in the community. This monthly report highlights the objectives, implementation, achievements, and recommendations of the session.

1. Activity Description

 

The activity was designed as a blended learning and play-based session to ensure children remain actively engaged. The event included a structured introduction to reading, interactive games, and creative arts.

Activities conducted:

 

 Story Reading & Sharing:

Children selected books of their choice and took turns reading aloud to their peers. This helped improve pronunciation, courage, and peer bonding.

 Fun and Recreational Games:

Various team games were organized to build teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness. Children demonstrated enthusiasm, leadership, and problem-solving skills throughout.

 Music & Dance Session:

Kids showcased their talents through dancing and singing. This segment encouraged freedom of expression, joy, and cultural appreciation.

The session ensured equal participation from all 30 children regardless of age or learning level.

 

2. Objectives of the Activity

 

The main objectives were:

 

  1.  To promote a positive reading culture among children in Bangladesh community.
  2.  To strengthen self-esteem, communication, and public speaking skills through reading aloud.
  3.  To enhance cognitive and creative thinking through expressive arts and storytelling.
  4.  To encourage teamwork, discipline, and respect through structured recreational activities.
  5.  To provide a safe space where children feel valued, supported, and connected.

 

 

3. Achievements & Key Outcomes

 

The library activity recorded highly successful engagement and several visible outcomes:

 

  •  Improved confidence as many children volunteered to read in front of their peers.
  •  Enhanced literacy and comprehension skills, demonstrated through fluent reading and active storytelling.
  •  Stronger social interaction and teamwork, especially during group games.
  •  Development of communication skills and leadership qualities as children supported each other.
  •  Increased attendance and interest in future sessions, showing strong community impact.
  •  Emotional wellbeing boosts observed through joyful participation, laughter, and interactive bonding.

The session clearly contributed to both educational and psychosocial development of the children.
