RI has reached tens of thousands of Afghan refugees in Sistan and Baluchistan province in 2022.
Throughout the year we have provided new equipment and supplies to existing health clinics in this province, including fridges, vaccine carriers, WASH and Baby kits, isolation gowns, and N95 masks. We have also built and equipped a health facility in the province to increase Afghan refugee and host communities’ access to lifesaving services.
In education, we have constructed five new classrooms in three schools, conducted remedial classes for 300 primary school aged students, and trained 300 parents and caregivers on subjects such as positive parenting and life skills.
Moreover, we have provided online and offline Business Skills Training courses to small business owners, aiming to increase their sustainability and become more resilient to economic shocks. This training program benefited 18 female refugees and 29 male refugees in 2022.
