In a world where many young people are pulled toward violence, rejection, or silence, you’ve helped us create something powerful: a safe space for healing, storytelling, and belonging.
Thanks to your unwavering support, 389 children and young people across Bogotá, Villavicencio, and Restrepo have taken their first steps toward healing — and reclaiming their place in society.
Our innovative narrative-based psychosocial programme has gone beyond expectations. Originally designed to support 230 young people, the project reached 70% more than planned — a testament to both the need and the incredible strength of the communities we serve.
These are young people who have experienced unimaginable things: recruitment by armed groups, the pull of gangs, displacement, trauma, and stigma. But instead of being defined by these experiences, they’re now writing new stories — because you believed in them.
Through storytelling, emotional reflection, and creative sessions like “Kintsugi” — where art becomes a metaphor for healing — participants are rebuilding from within. 70% report improved mental health, and 75% say their leadership and confidence have grown. These numbers are powerful. But the transformation is even more visible in their voices, their posture, their smiles.
We also reached 187 parents and caregivers — 76% more than planned — with workshops that nurtured emotional intelligence, self-care, and connection. Families who once felt broken are now beginning to heal together. And through sessions like “My Inner Jewel” and “Let’s Change the Story,” stigmas are being replaced with empathy and hope.
Even professionals have grown. 51 staff members from local organizations now have stronger tools to support vulnerable youth — creating a network of change that will last long after this project ends.
