Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated to help us save our Helpline - and for those who haven't there is still time.....
We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our supporters and the wonderful messages from those who have used the service and are determined to keep it open for other families in the future. We even have someone walking to the South Pole for us!
"I was so grateful for your professional and invaluable help."
"It makes all the difference between a young person thriving or suffering."
We have also had messages of support from young people whose parents used the service.
"I know how lost my parents were when I was diagnosed with anorexia. So often the parents are overlooked when they are the people who spend the most time with a distressed young person."
"I don't know where I would be without the love and care my parents gave me when I was ill."
We are half way towards our goals and still raising money. Your support makes all the difference.
The Parents Helpline team in the meanwhile have been working hard continuing to support the parents and carers that contact us. They have seen a massive increase in calls over the last couple of months and have spotten an obvious increase in the severity of the problems children are experiencing. It's a worrying trend and we are pleased that people are contacting us to get help.
Thanks once again
Sharon
