Youth Defender's Work: flourishing young women
The youth defenders are grateful for your support and the trust that you have placed in our work, so from the Fray Francisco Vitoria de Vitoria Human Rights Center we want to share with you the updates of our work over the past few months.
During the recents months we worked with great affection on the planning and beginning of the process of political training aimed at young people through La Escuelita which is a space that seeks to provide theoretical and practical tools directed to building knowledge, skills and experiences about human rights issues from a critical and transformative approach. This 20th generation is welcoming a 32 young people who join this warm process from different social and political context.
In addition we were fortunate to participate in diverse spaces with different young people and welcome the new generation of people who get involved in the Center through our Semillero de Juventudes in the modalities of social service, professional practices and volunteering. This program is called Juventudes Defensoras y Promotoras de los Derechos Humanos where the new members of the team will work in the process of accompaniment and advocacy in different process where diverse social sector have been suffering violence or discrimination.
Indeed we continue accompanying face to face and online diverses processes for the pursuit of truth and justice on the women’s agenda. This was through advice and legal representacion, psychosocial accompaniments and advocacy activities in different spaces that allow us to recognize, to listen, to share and to pamper us in the face of diversity of experiences that each one has in their fights and resistance. March was a month very significantly in the fight on women’s human rights. Therefore we accompanied the 8M protest in Mexico City also we had and active participation in diverse demanding actions, and in differents spaces of resistance, fight, dignity and memory with women victims of femicide violence.
We continue to reflect together about our daily work that we do to strengthen our accompaniments, because we have the conviction to continue adding experiences and knowledge that allow us to accompany in a sensitive and comprehensive way people, communities and diverse groups that are building resistance in the current human rights crisis. Our solidarity is in the collective and organizational processes where we and all those people are fighting for the building of other possible world.
We send you solidarity hugs from our hearts.
