When we launched this campaign, we couldn't predict how brutal this winter would be. Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure and severe frosts left millions of Ukrainians without electricity, heat, water, and communication.
What our “ordinary” day looks like: You wake up after a night of shelling in an apartment that's only 5-9 °C. There's no water — you can't wash up or use the bathroom. There's no electricity — you can't cook anything. Food in the fridge has spoiled. This is the reality for millions of people in Ukraine this winter.
And under these very conditions, our volunteers went out to help those whose homes were damaged by shelling. They boarded up shattered windows at -17 °C, standing outside for 7–8 hours straight.
What we managed with your support (late November — mid-January):
Your donations helped us purchase:
1. Construction tools and materials:
2. Heating:
3. Household items:
4. Furniture:
Total: 24,791.92 UAH ($575)
We're keeping the remaining funds for urgent volunteer needs during future attacks.
Your support is the strength that helps us keep going when it seems impossible. It's the hope that reminds us: goodness exists not just in fairy tales, but here and now.
Winter isn't over yet. We need your help. Donate, share, and tell others about this campaign!
Thank you from the Brave to Rebuild volunteer community!
