Dear Supporter,
Because of your generous support, mothers and newborns in northern Syria continue to receive safe, dignified, and life-saving maternal healthcare — even during the most difficult and demanding circumstances.
We are grateful to share a remarkable update from one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria.
On a recent Sunday, the hospital’s maternity team worked under exceptional pressure as one of the main free medical facilities providing natural and cesarean birth services around the clock in the city of Al-Bab. Despite the intense summer heat and the growing demand for maternal healthcare, the medical team continued serving mothers with dedication, professionalism, and compassion.
In just one day, the team successfully supported 13 natural births and 8 cesarean sections — a total of 21 safe deliveries, the highest daily number recorded by the hospital’s maternity department. This means that, on average, a baby was born nearly every hour.
In addition to these deliveries, the team also performed other essential gynecological procedures, responding to urgent medical needs for women who had nowhere else to turn for free and reliable care.
This achievement was made possible because of supporters like you.
Your donations help keep vital maternal and newborn services available for families who cannot afford the high cost of childbirth in private hospitals. Your generosity helps protect mothers, welcome newborns safely into the world, and bring relief and joy to families facing hardship.
From the depths of our hearts, thank you for every act of kindness, every donation, and every helping hand extended to mothers and babies in northern Syria.
With heartfelt gratitude,
