A pregnant mother arrived at one of SEMA’s hospitals ready to welcome her baby girl into the world. But moments after delivery, doctors discovered that the newborn was suffering from severe respiratory distress and urgently needed intensive medical care to survive.
Without immediate intervention, her life was at serious risk.
Our medical team quickly transferred the baby to the Intensive Care Unit and began emergency treatment. Every minute mattered.
And because of your compassion and generosity, the care she needed was available.
Just hours later, the baby began responding to treatment.
Her breathing stabilized.
Hope returned to her mother’s eyes.
