With your support, we are able to save little souls and provide urgent care to those who need it most. Sadly, children make up the largest proportion of our burn patients. Among them was 20-month-old Mona, who suffered 15% second-degree burns after a pot of boiling tea spilled over different parts of her body.
Mona was rushed to the emergency department at Idleb Specialized Surgical Hospital in Northern Syria, where she was immediately admitted to the burns unit and received critical primary care. After overcoming the most dangerous stage, she was transferred to the pediatric ward, where she stayed for eight days before being discharged in good health.
Stories like Mona’s are only possible because of your support. Together, we can overcome the most critical moments and continue saving lives.
