Dear Donors, Thank you so much for your continued to support to HCU and Project Uplift. This summer was particularly rough funding-wise, and caused us to make some programming cuts. However we send endless thanks to our inspiring interns who took it upon themselves to create a gorgeous website outlining the stories of the women we are supporting: click here to learn more.
We still are pushing forward with fundraising, as reaching our goal of $10,000 in the Uplift "bank" would mean that we can reach 300 households with microloans: empowering women to grow their small businesses, pay school fees for their children, and strengthen their communities. Furthermore, we would have enough money in rotation that return interest could cover the staff expenses and operating costs of running Uplift: meaning the program would be 100% sustainable.
