Despite a challenging financial base of support, 6,470 families or approximately 25,880 individuals were provided immediate relief of emergency food packs and hygiene kits in the aftermath of typhoon Carna/Gaemi. The Foundation spent P2,911,500.00 ($52,936) on this support, at an average of $8 per family of four during one week of service delivery.
Despite the closure of the immediate relief program for those affected by typhoon Carina/Gaemi, the Foundation retains 5,000 relief packs ready to be deployed at any moment. The cost to maintain this buffer per month is around Php 2,000,000. We continue to appeal for support to maintain this buffer supply.
Services continue to be provided to the affected families in terms of housing and economic sustaining activities to stabilize the lives of these individuals. Continued support is required.
