Diakonia Agapes was established in 1992 with the initiative and blessing of His Beatitude Anastasios, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania as the social, development and relief office of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania. Since the year 2000 the office has operated under the Church Foundation “Spirit of Love”.Inspired by our Christian values, we are dedicated to working with the most vulnerable people in the Republic of Albania and the neighboring region. We serve all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, and gender.
The project: Support families affected by earthquake report focused on the material support (food, hygienic and educational materials) for approximately 10 families in the Administrative Unit of Peza.
Even though Diakonia Agapes participated in all the campaigns organized by the GlobalGiving platform we were not able to reach the financial target to continue the support for the families in need.
