Dear Friend,
The project: Support families affected by the earthquake is implemented in the Administrative Unit of Peza and aims to reach 10 vulnerable families affected by the earthquake to recover their living conditions and to improve the psycho-social well-being.
This is achieved by:
• helping families based on their immediate needs;
• improved psycho-social well-being;
• motivating children to continue their education.
The funds raised for the project: Support families affected by the earthquake during 2022 were very low and that is why Diakonia Agapes is supporting two families with two articles:
Mini oven and a sack of flour (25 kg) that will assist the families to fulfill their daily needs.
The story of the families supported:
The first women, 47 years old experiences violence in family. All the family live in the tent in very bad conditions. It is the fourth winter that finds four members of this poor family living in the tent. Still they are waiting that the state will support them with the house construction.
The second family live with economic aid and their three children have difficulties to attend kindergarten and school every day because their house is far away from the facilities. The women cooks the meal with the vegetables that she grows in her garden and during the cold winter more support is needed from the state and different stakeholders to fulfil their basic needs, assisting children in their education, supporting the father to find a job and their mother in parenting skills.
Diakonia Agapes invites you and asks you to share the information to raise funds and to be near those who are in difficult situation.
