Diakonia Agapes has started the fundraising campaign through the GlobalGiving platform for the project: Support families affected by the earthquake. The project targets 10 vulnerable families affected by the earthquake in the Administrative Unit of Peza, Tirana Municipality. Diakonia Agapes aims to provide humanitarian and psychological assistance to these families in order to help them rebuild their lives.
During September - December 2021, Diakonia Agapes was not able to raise the targeted funds for the project even though participated in three campaigns organized by the platform. Still our efforts continue to knock to different donors, organizations, individuals who will support us and will walk together with us in this initiative.
Diakonia Agapes staff has already identified 10 families in the targeted area. Priority is given to the families with children, elderly and people with disabilities. Most of the families identified live with economic aid.
Diakonia Agapes with the raised funds will support families in the coming months to recover their living conditions, to improve psycho-social well-being and to motivate children to continue their education.
