INTRODUCTION:
This report covers recent activities implemented under the above-mentioned Project covering the month under review (July-September 2025). Activities were held in Montserrado County in Liberia.
This report reflects on the below:
2.0 PLANNED ACTIVITIES FOR THE PERIOD UNDER REVIEW
2.1 Assessment of New Schools
2.2 2.2 Recommendations and Conclusion
During the month under review, Learning Squared County Management Team, headed by Ms. Jennis Rue, undertook a week-long assessment of two schools in lower Margibi County. The schools assessed were the ROSODAN School System and the Bryan Memorial Academy. The primary purpose of this assessment was to ascertain the capacities of the teaching staff and school management to develop an appropriate program that will strengthen the school’s delivery of quality education. The assessment was also done to provide information that will help in determining the launch of the microloan program.
As part of the exercise, the team conducted site visits to evaluate school infrastructure, teaching capacity, and student enrollment needs. Engaged with school administrators, parents, and community stakeholders to determine readiness and identify gaps. Held meetings with parents and school administrations to provide an overview of the Microloan Program, which is planned for introduction this year. The program aims to empower parents, particularly women, by increasing their income-generating capacity, thereby enabling them to support their children’s education better. Both parents, teachers, and school authorities expressed excitement and a strong willingness to support the program. Speaking on behalf of the parents and participants, Madam Korpo, a single mother, highlighted the importance of the initiative. She remarked:
“Today, we are happy. This is good news for us, and this program will help us support our children’s education.”
Her comments reflect the broader enthusiasm among stakeholders for the program, particularly the microloan component, which is a vital tool for empowering parents, especially women, to generate income and invest in their children’s future.
2.3 Recommendations and Conclusions
Based on the assessment of the ROSODAN School System and Bryan Memorial Academy, the following recommendations are proposed:

Conclusion
The assessment confirmed that both schools are eager and prepared to collaborate with Learning Squared in strengthening educational service delivery. The strong support expressed by parents, teachers, and administrators, particularly the enthusiasm for the microloan program, demonstrates a shared commitment to improving access to and quality of education. With targeted interventions, continuous engagement, and effective resource allocation, the partnership has the potential to make a lasting impact on the schools and their surrounding communities.
