3. 0 ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD UNDER REVIEW:

3.1 FOLLOW-UP ON TEACHERS

Learning Squared conducted two follow-up sessions with two schools during the period under review. The purpose was to monitor teachers and better understand how they manage their classrooms and implement strategies. In addition, to understand the process of utilizing the skills and training acquired from the Teaching Training Together (TTT-Liberia)  training workshop conducted between September 14- 16,2022, in Kakata, Margibi County, Liberia. The project team interacted with six teachers and school authorities during the assessment visits. In addition,  It brought together fifteen teachers and three school leaders from two schools (ROSODAN School System, St. Eaffa Elementary School. Upon completion of the two assessment visits, a survey was developed to understand knowledge management at the school level better. The assessment survey showed 83% of the interviewees agreed topics covered during the training were relevant and helped improve classroom management. In addition, 86% decided that the content was easy and user-friendly, the materials were helpful, and the trainers were knowledgeable about the topics.

On the part of the Principal, Mr. Moses thanked Learning Squared for the support and lauded the efforts of the level or partnership, “ we are delighted; to have our teachers participate in the training. Our children will be better, noted Mr. Moses.

The phase of the training will be in February and will continue.

3.2  School Monitoring Visit in Margibi County

Learning Squared visited two schools in Margibi County, Minor Community School, and Agape International School. The visit aimed to identify new ways to support the PTA and develop strategies to have more members actively involved in school activities.

During the visit, our team met with members of the leadership of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA)  school authorities at both schools. These meetings brought together over 10 participants. The team also had one-on-one sessions with students to understand better some of the challenges affecting students.

The team also spoke with teachers about students' progress, attendance, and challenges during school hours. The group later encouraged parents to support their children's education and ensure they are in school daily. At the end of the monitoring visit, teachers and members of the PTA thanked Learning Squared for their efforts in ensuring that underserved children attend schools regularly.

However, the visitation highlighted some areas for improvement, as the schools lack support and need institutional capacities to improve learning outcomes.

3.3Recommendation and Conclusion

Thanks and appreciation to our supporters, donors, GlobalGiving, Local communities, and school for the commitment to successfully implementing the project. Learning Squared Liberia is open to working with all children of Liberia, Mostly the underserved communities and children in  Liberia.
