ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD UNDER REVIEW:
2.1 Back to school- book ride campaign 2021
Learning Squared Liberia, continued its annual back-to-school book ride campaign in three additional Counties in Liberia. The counties included Margibi, Montserrado, and Bomi. The objective of the campaign is to support over ten thousand 10,000 school-going children with learning materials such as notebooks, pens, pencils and plastic folders. The campaign brought together over 300 participants including, students, teachers, parents, and community leaders.
The below-listed communities and schools benefited from the campaign:
Learning Squared team visited the ROSODAN School System, Agape International School, Minor Community School in Margibi County. During the visit students, school administrators, parents, and local leaders welcomed the team and expressed willingness to support the work. During the visit, the team distributed assorted materials including, notebooks, pens, pencils, and plastic folders to 70 students across the school district. The back-to-school book ride continued at the Rebecca J. Wilson Public School in Montserrado, Kingdom Builders Community School, and the Jenneh Public School in Bomi County respectively.
2.2 Learning Squared donate hand sanitizers to schools and communities
Learning Squared Liberia during the period in review, donated twenty -six (26) cartons of hand sanitizers to schools and communities to increase the fight against Covid-19. The aim was to strengthen the preventive measures of COVID-19 in those communities and schools. The distribution was carried in Margibi, Bomi, Grand Cape Mount, and Montserrado counties. benefited over 300 students, four communities, and four schools. The Distribution is part of the Learning Squared strategy to support schools and communities and create awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
2.3 Recommendation and Conclusion
Learning Square Liberia acknowledges and appreciates her distinct supporters, donors, GlobalGiving, Local communities, and schools for the level of commitment shown towards the successful implementation of the project. During the period under review, our team did not encounter any major challenges.
