Changed focus in the support of refugees

As part of the largest humanitarian network in the world Red Cross Amsterdam provided emergency sheltering for nearly 2000 refugees in the Amsterdam area. After last years large scale emergency sheltering we are now setting up specific support programmes to help refugees to get integrated in our communities and reshape their future.

Red Cross Amsterdam programmes will:

address the needs and vulnerability of refugee migrants by providing psychosocial support.
support refugees families by tracing and restoring contact with lost family members
empower refugees by giving First Aid Courses and home visits
strenghten their network through buddy contacts.
