G-POWER PROJECT REPORT
SECOND QUARTER – 2025
Empowering 2,500 Girls in Technology
1. Introduction
The G-Power Project continues to lead the charge in addressing the gender gap in technology by providing young girls in Ghana with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive in STEM fields. Our 2025 vision focuses on empowering 2,500 girls with digital and technological skills, ranging from basic coding to advanced application development. This report provides an overview of our progress during the second quarter of 2025, outlines key achievements, and highlights areas where additional support is needed for long-term sustainability.
2. Program Objectives
The primary objectives of the G-Power Project are:
To provide practical and foundational training in Coding, Website Development, Cybersecurity, Python Programming, and Application Development.
To foster genuine interest in STEM among young girls, especially those from underserved communities.
To build a sustainable, inclusive digital future by bridging the gender and digital divide.
To train 1 million girls in Ghana in digital literacy and technology by 2030.
3. Key Achievements: Q2 2025a. Number of Beneficiaries
During the second quarter of 2025, the G-Power Project successfully trained and impacted 300 girls, bringing the cumulative total for the year to 600 girls. These girls participated in intensive hands-on training workshops across multiple regions, including Greater Accra, Central Region, and Ashanti Region.
b. Areas of Training
The girls were introduced to and engaged in practical modules in the following areas:
Basic Coding Skills: Introduction to algorithms, logic building, and problem-solving using visual and text-based languages.
Website Development: Hands-on design and creation of basic websites using HTML, CSS, and simple JavaScript.
Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Safe digital practices, password security, data privacy, and online threat awareness.
Python Programming: Introduction to Python syntax, data types, loops, and beginner-level project building.
Application Development: Basics of app design and development for real-world use cases.
Each module was designed to be interactive, fun, and tailored to the age and learning pace of participants, ensuring maximum understanding and retention.
4. Impact
The G-Power Project has yielded significant positive outcomes during the reporting period:
Growing Interest in STEM: Post-training surveys show that over 85% of the participants expressed a strong interest in pursuing STEM careers in the future.
Increased Confidence: Many girls have demonstrated improved self-confidence and a stronger belief in their ability to contribute to the tech space.
Community Ripple Effect: Graduates of the program are already teaching younger peers, demonstrating a multiplier effect that is key to long-term community impact.
5. Strategic Vision
As a nonprofit initiative committed to bridging the digital divide, our long-term vision is bold yet attainable — to train 1 million girls across Ghana by 2030. We believe that every girl, regardless of background or location, should have access to opportunities in the digital economy. This means expanding our reach, building more training centers, developing locally relevant content, and deepening our partnerships with schools, universities, and communities.
6. Gratitude to Our Partners
We would not have achieved these milestones without the generous support and strategic collaborations of our partners and donors. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:
Lenovo Foundation – for their equipment donations and mentorship initiatives.
Google – for content support and program funding.
Telecel Foundation – for helping us reach rural communities with mobile learning tools.
Pweb Consulting Group – for providing trainers and program planning support.
University of Education – Winneba – for providing venues and technical advisory.
Our amazing donors – for believing in our cause and helping us reach new heights.
Your partnership and belief in our mission are changing lives daily.
7. The Road Ahead & Call for Support
While we are proud of the progress made so far, we continue to face a major constraint — financial sustainability. Funding remains the main bottleneck in scaling our operations and maintaining quality training experiences. As we look ahead to the third and fourth quarters of 2025, we are seeking:
Increased financial contributions from individuals, institutions, and corporate partners.
Volunteer trainers and mentors, especially female STEM professionals, to inspire and guide the next generation.
In-kind support, such as laptops, internet routers, transportation for rural outreach, and printed materials.
Your support — whether large or small — plays a critical role in helping us achieve our 2030 vision. We invite all stakeholders who share our passion for equity, education, and empowerment to join us in shaping the future of girls in technology.
8. Conclusion
The G-Power Project is more than a training initiative — it is a movement. It is a call to action to uplift, empower, and invest in the potential of young girls across Ghana. With the help of our dedicated team, supportive partners, and resilient learners, we are building a future where every girl can code, innovate, and lead in the digital age.
Thank you once again for standing with us.
