Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched our campaign to change lives by giving the gift of literacy to children, students and adults in Illinois. Thanks to many generous contributions, we raised much-needed funds to help 10 children, students and adults achieve reading success. Adapting to COVID restrictions, we engaged learners through remote access learning.
While all students received traditional paper textbooks to assist with remote learning, some students received laptops to aid their reading development. Additionally, we were able to afford 18 hours of professional development for teachers who helped to deliver remote learning training. In appreciation of generous contributions like yours, we will continue to give the gift of literacy to children and families in Illinois. Thank you for helping us change lives...one learner at a time.
