Angel recently achieved one of his greatest wishes: leaving the hospital and returning home to share a simple but joyful moment with his family.

After a long period of medical treatment and hospitalization, Angel expressed a heartfelt wish. More than toys or gifts, what he wanted most was to go home and eat pizza with his loved ones. For him, this represented comfort, normalcy, and the warmth of being surrounded by family.

Thanks to the support received through the community and the efforts of Sembrando Esperanzas, Angel was able to fulfill that wish. The day he returned home became a deeply meaningful moment for everyone involved. Sitting together, sharing pizza, laughter, and conversation, Angel experienced something that illness had kept him away from for a long time: a simple family moment.

Over the past weeks, our team at Sembrando Esperanzas had the honor of giving Thiago, a brave child fighting cancer, an experience that lifted not only his spirit, but the hearts of everyone who witnessed it. Thanks to your support, Thiago lived a moment he had dreamed of for months: flying in a helicopter.

Thiago has faced complex and exhausting treatments, long hospital stays, and moments where strength seemed almost impossible to find. Still, he carried a spark of curiosity and joy that inspired everyone around him. When he told us that flying felt like “touching freedom,” we knew exactly what we wanted to give him.

With the help of compassionate partners and donors like you, we organized a safe, private helicopter experience. From the moment Thiago saw the aircraft land, his face transformed into pure wonder. Once in the air, he looked down at the mountains and rooftops of Costa Rica and whispered, “It feels like nothing hurts up here.”

For his family, this moment became a memory they will carry forever. For us, it reaffirmed why this project exists: to offer emotional relief, meaningful experiences, and dignified farewells to children facing the hardest chapter of their lives.
