Support the flood relief efforts in Argentina

by Mensajeros de la Paz

Earlier this month unseasonal torrential rain across the Buenos Aires region has caused several rivers to flood their banks, leaving severe damage to homes and belongings. It has also lead to the evacuation of thousands from those areas most affected - Lujan, Salto, Areco and Mercedes.

The families affected by the flooding need our help right now. The severe weather has left many without a home or access to clean drinking water, and the huge quantities of rain water has destroyed many essential items such electric appliances and warm bedding. The many families that have been evacuated will soon be returning to their homes, and the challenge now is to ensure that they are equipped with everything they need to move on from these events.

The donations we collect through this project will provide the affected families with the essentials they need to return home - for example, a warm place to sleep, refrigerators, cleaning products and clean drinking water. The provision of these most basic items will allow those affected to focus on beginning to rebuild their homes and lives after these devastating events.

Long-Term Impact

This project will ensure that the families who have lost everything to the flooding in these areas receive the help and necessities they need to return home and continue with their daily lives. In collaborating with this project you can be sure that every small part that you can give will be a brick in the rebuilding of someone's life at home, giving them a chance to start again.
